18 Jul Vienna’s Film Festival returns at the Rathausplatz
Europe’s largest cultural and culinary festival is once again among us!
Vienna’s Film Festival, now in its 29th year, attracts almost a million visitors each year to this top-class music and art experience.
The secret of the Film Festival’s success is bringing together a selection of impressive productions in the fields of opera, operetta, dance, pop and jazz, as well as a dedicated opera festival specifically for children.
Films roll daily at nightfall and catering is available from 11am til midnight. This season, 26 gastronomers will offer a wonderful tasting experience ranging from a quick lunchtime snack to extended evening feasts.
The main attractions will again include the Artist Saturdays with unplugged performances by local musicians, the Jazz Frühschoppen on Sunday mornings, guest appearances from the “Jazz Fest Vienna” and the Vienna Classic Days.
Admission is completely free.
Since it first began, almost 15 million visitors have been enthralled by the Film Festival at Vienna’s Rathausplatz. It will be running until September 1st, 2019.
