01 Jun FAM Trip in Egypt
In this month of May 2023, we venture out on our first FAM trip in Egypt of the year since the pandemic. This time, we travelled to the land of Egypt, home to one of the major civilizations of the ancient Middle East and, like Mesopotamia further east, the site of one of the world’s first urban and literate societies.
We were pleasantly surprised; it was without doubt one of the most magical FAMs we’ve done in GDA. A trip that was coordinated and managed by our colleagues at Egypt Express Travel. Egypt Express Travel is one of DMC’s longest-standing partners, with many years of collaboration.

A 3-day trip full of extraordinary activities to get to know the Fairmont and Marriott, the hotels on offer and the many possibilities this incredible country has to offer groups.
Claire Appelqvist, our Marketing and Sales Manager, accompanied a wonderful group of tourism professionals specializing in MICE.
From there, the adventure began!
11 major participants, 1 capital city, 1 loyal and reliable GDA partner.
After IMEX Frankfurt, 8 buyers, 2 GDA partners and Claire Appelqvist flew to Egypt, and more specifically to Cairo on May 25, where our colleagues from Egypt Express Travel were waiting for us.
Several sightseeing tours were organized.
We were able to discover the Egyptian Museum, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Sphinx and the Great Egyptian Museum, all accompanied by qualified English-speaking Egyptologist guides.
There were also 6 site inspections.
Guests were able to discover the Fairmont Nile Hotel, the Marriott Cairo, the Hilton Heliopolis Hotel, the Sheraton Cairo Hotel, the Hyatt Regency West Hotel and the Mena House Hotel. Above all, we had the chance to visit Egypt’s largest cultural center: the Al Manara International Conference Center.
This trip was full of smiles and good vibes, good meals in superb restaurants for 3 whole days and a total change of scenery! A FAM trip in Egypt that has left a mark on our hearts for having been an enriching experience.
Thanks to all the professionals who accompanied us and contributed their grain of sand to create a fabulous group, they were excellent travel companions.
