The development of the harbour started in this area. The harbour bath by Island Brygge was developed in 2003 and has now become a cult area, the Brygge bridge was the very first bridge made in the harbour 50 years ago. Buildings in the Sluseholmen area was built, giving new life to the area. New canals have been dug, new bridges made and silos have been rebuilt.

Here they serve food made from fresh and organic ingredients, and during the summer you can eat your dinner outside on the deck. Restaurant Vandvid welcomes you onboard to a simple, delicious menu made of the freshest organic produce sourced from local providers.

The name of the restaurant ‘Vandvid’ translates in two ways: ‘Water Wide’ and ‘Crazy’ – because they are 3 slightly crazy and creative souls, who are making this dream come true together.
