06 Mar Denmark – Grub & Cruise!
Sustainable Harbour Cruise & Dining
Cruise the South Harbour in Copenhagen, where the harbour industry in Copenhagen began. It was here that huge ships docked and it was here that bricks were extracted and afterward concrete was mixed. The development of the harbour started in this area. The harbour bath by Island Brygge was developed in 2003 and has now become a cult area, the Brygge bridge was the very first bridge made in the harbour 50 years ago. Buildings in the Sluseholmen area was built, giving new life to the area. New canals have been dug, new bridges made and silos have been rebuilt.
Following this relaxing cruise down by the water, a floating restaurant with focus on urban farming and local, organic food awaits you.
Vandvid is a restaurant experience in the South Harbour of Copenhagen, where you eat your dinner inside a floating houseboat. Here they serve food made from fresh and organic ingredients, and during the summer you can eat your dinner outside on the deck. Restaurant Vandvid welcomes you onboard to a simple, delicious menu made of the freshest organic produce sourced from local providers.
The name of the restaurant ‘Vandvid’ translates in two ways: ‘Water Wide’ and ‘Crazy’ – because they are 3 slightly crazy and creative souls, who are making this dream come true together.
