14 Oct Portugal: Discover Its Beauty From North to South
In the past weeks, our partner Inside Tours DMC Portugal travelled all over the country to provide unique experiences to different MICE’s groups.
Portugal is home to wonderful landscapes stories with people that create our unique cultural heritage. A place where white sandy beaches, mountains and unique villages create a diverse country with ancient traditions.
Starting from the North of Portugal with a diversity of landscapes, with special highlight to the Douro Valley, where the oldest demarcated wine region in the world is located, producing the famous Port wine. Any of these landscapes, combined with other interesting features, such as culture or gastronomy, is an excellent setting to organise an incentive trip.
In October, Inside Tours DMC Portugal, created a tailor-made program from Porto to Douro for a technology company from United States of America. Their stay in Portugal started with a regatta along Douro river, being introduced to a dynamic activity which combines friendly competition, with the relaxation of a day spent on a sailboat. Another activity that was part of this program was Douro Jeep Tour. This is the perfect tour to stroll around the Douro Wine region off the beaten path. During the afternoon, the group had the opportunity to do a Port Wine Tasting in a typical Douro “Quinta” and learn a bit more about Port Wine and its qualities.
On our way to Lisbon, a big pharmaceutical company wanted to create their own Lisbon Challenge in the city centre and Inside Tours DMC created a personalized treasure hunt – including the Pharmaceutical Museum and one of the oldest famous Pharmacy. A pedestrian rally-paper, a fun teambuilding activity, promoting team interaction and cooperation!
The same group also had an amazing gala dinner in one of the most beautiful venues – The Villa Tamariz Utopia, located in the exquisite area of Estoril. A unique oasis with the perfect ocean view.
Finally, we had a stop on South of Portugal in Algarve, where Inside Tours DMC had the opportunity to create a full programme to a Scandinavian company that were looking for a different activity off-the-beaten-track like horse riding in the countryside of Albufeira, kite surf in a lagoon at Alvor and surf in Portimão beach. They also enjoyed the amazing natural park of Ria Formosa and the unique Ilha Deserta. This experience was combined with spectacular venues near the seaside where the group tasted the best flavours of Algarve.
North to south, from the mainland to the islands, we find a combination of unique formulas, involving cities and locations, in association with their history, landscapes and traditions, which guarantee a unique experience and will surely respond to any event requirements.
